Kenneth and Sharon Burnett have been arrested for neglecting horses on their property near Silverton. The couple was apparently staying in Carson City when the horses were seized. The horses were malnourished and suffered from parasite infections and ringworms. The are recovering, thanks to volunteers with the SPCA and Lighthouse Farm animal sanctuary. The Burnetts each face several counts of second-degree animal neglect.
